This original, oil floral painting was part of a 2023 show about coming to terms with womanhood and motherhood. The series of paintings included ideas and poetry about putting on your oxygen mask before taking care of others, learning how to reparent yourself so that you can be a healthy parent to your children, learning to stop carrying things that don't belong to you, and taking a moment to pause and step out of the busy lives we lead. This specific painting is a reminder of the growth we go through as we learn to take care of ourselves and become a fully blooming, beautiful flower in the garden of life.
