Art is about passion
“I have five kids, so you'll see five lines in most of my work. Between making pb&j sandwiches and changing diapers, I find time to paint by incorporating my kids into my work and by keeping a relaxed attitude about home life and family.
Through some difficult times in my life, art has given me an outlet to express my passion and hope for something better than what I can see. I use color to express emotion. Line and shape express logic, movement, and change.
I believe art connects us in a way that verbal communication can't. It is a visual perspective which affects both the artist & the viewer. That’s why I use a triangle in my signature to express that powerful connection. The three sides stand for art, me, and you.
Born & raised in the South, I'm a self-taught artist, primarily working in acrylic, ink, and resin. My work is heavily influenced by water and movement- and my signature mark-making is based in long, sweeping lines that follow the flow of the layers in my work."
